8th at White Mountain |
With a fast car, another heat win, and a long run in the
lead, White Mountain was looking like a great finish for the #77.
But on the lap 126 restart a competitor rejoined from the pits just
as the green fell and pulled right down in front of the field. After
some solid contact with the left front, Cassius was taken up to the
turn one wall as the other car tried to get out of the way.
Falling back a bunch of spots, Cassius raced back to 8th at the
checkers. |

15th at Beech Ridge PASS 300 |
The new combo of the #77 and Cassius Clark started off
the PASS 400 Weekend with a heat win for a front row starting
position for the 300 lapper. At the green the #77 was battling Mike
Rowe and DJ Shaw for the lead and looking like the car to beat. But
in lapped traffic, the #77 got squeezed between two cars and took a
hit on the right front. With suspension damage, Cassius started to
fall back. A series of pit stops got the car going better in the
final portion of the race, but two laps had been lost and the #77
was scored in 15th. |

12th at Oxford |
Starting from 9th, Scott had hopes to run to
save the tires for the final stages of the race. But the #77
just never had the handling needed, being loose right from
the start. Scott couldn't hold off faster cars coming
through the pack and scored a 12th place finish. |

|
14th at Thompson |
With a great run in the heat, Scott started on
the pole for the race which was 100 laps this year instead
of the previous 75. However, it all ended in turn one, lap
one when the #26 nudged the #77 into a spin that started
nine cars heading for a cluster at the turn one wall. The
#77 continued on with body damage but engine revs began to
drop as the drive train seemed to be binding. A failed rear
end was found when the #77 retired on lap 49. |

14th at Lee USA |
A steering and/or front end handling problem
slowed the #77 in the battle at Lee. Multiple pit stops to
make adjustments didn't help and Scott wound up in 14th as
the last car running. |

The Firecracker 150 Saturday - July 2nd |
|
Scott and the #77 were fast again as the PASS
North series travelled to Canaan Fair Speedway in New
Hampshire. Scott raced in the top five, battling Ben Rowe
and Alexander Gingras who scored 1st and 2nd place finishes.
But at the 2/3 mark of the race the left rear tire started
to go down and Scott dropped off the pace, finally spinning
in turn one and going up on top of the Jersey barriers with
the nose of the #77. The frame was OK but the rest of the
nose and radiator area suffered heavy damage. A 17th place
finish was the result. |

|
4th place run at Chaudiere. From the third
starting spot for the feature, Scott ran in the top pack
most of the race, surging into second at one point. But
contact on the back straight with the #16 at about the 100
lap mark knocked the rear axle out, and the #77 was not
quite as quick as it had been. |

6th place at 660. After the strong run in the

the #77 faded to 6th in the second segment after the break
for two fresh right side tires. |

The
PASS 150 at Star Speedway
Saturday - May 14th |
|
5th at Star Speedway
After starting in 12th, Scott
began a strong and steady climb to the front while
avoiding contact and resulting spins. Richie
Dearborn had led from the green flag but Scott
chased him down and took over the lead on lap 142
and things looked good for the final eight laps to
come. But after a yellow only a couple laps later,
the #77 had Johnny Clark in the #54 on the outside
for a restart. Two laps into the green, going into
turn two, Scott spun around with a flat rear and was
hit both by Clark and the #97 of Joey Pole. After a
pit stop for a new tire, Scott came from the back
through two more yellows and a wreck on the last
corner to earn the 5th place. |
